Amit Kumar Das is an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) professional with a demonstrated history of testing web and Android applications. He is currently working as a Software Development Engineer 2 at Fynd, where he is a core member of the Test Development team responsible for building infrastructure and platforms that can serve software testing as a service (STAAS). He is also working on JioMart, a solution running on the Fynd Platform, as part of the OpEx (Operation Excellence) team. Amit has a strong focus on bringing the best quality version of software through means of functional, performance, and automation tests with a DevOps and Agile mindset. He is passionate about finding bugs and keeping himself updated with the latest technology by being involved in tech communities, ed tech channels, and other similar platforms. He is obsessed with learning the latest technologies and spends his free time solving hackerank, working on personal projects, gaming, and guitaring. Amit specializes in creating test bots, containerization, orchestration, framework development, test architecting, service virtualization, cloud computing, and more. He has strong experience in DevOps CI/CD and Agile culture, Java, and test automation using Selenium WebDriver and REST API automation. He also has strong knowledge of containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes, building test automation frameworks for functional as well as non-functional testing, and creating APIs with Springboot to handle end-to-end automation scenarios. Amit has worked with companies like Microsoft and Jio in the past, where he was responsible for ensuring the quality of applications by ensuring automation and framework enhancements, building automation frameworks, and developing bots with Spring Boot and Http client. He has also set up service virtualization with Specmatic tool to mock external API responses and containerized all the test automation projects with Docker to deploy them seamlessly across any environment. Amit holds a Master of Technology degree in Manufacturing Engineering and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from KIIT University.
